Scholarship offer

Full scholarship for an excellent Chinese applicant, including coverage of tuition fees and living expenses for the two-year MSc programme, worth a total approximate value of € 44,500.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is a research-oriented faculty at the frontier of contemporary engineering science - a world-class training ground for future leaders in scientific professional practice and research. It is the largest of TU Delft’s eight faculties.

The researchers of the Faculty are active in nano-science and nano-chemical engineering, nano-biology, bio-technology, chemical engineering and transport phenomena, optics and imaging as well as radiation (including a small research nuclear reactor).  more

Additional requirements for scholarship applicants:

Average marks of 85% or higher.

English proficiency minimum:

IELTS (academic) overall band score of 6.5 or

TOEFL iBT score of 90

 

Scholarship applicants must meet the criteria above and be in the process of applying to one of the programmes listed above or have already been admitted for the 2012-2014 programme in order to apply for this scholarship.

MSc programme application documents required (please visit www.tnw.tudelft.nl/msc for up-to-date MSc programme application instructions):

  • A completed online application form.
  • A certified copy of your original academic degree (or degrees) in the original language.
  • A certified translation of your academic degree (or degrees) into English.
  • A certified copy of your final transcript (or transcripts) in the original language.
  • A certified translation of your final transcript (or transcripts) into English.
  • An original report providing the official TOEFL or IELTS score (academic version). The TOEFL organisation can send the score directly to TU Delft if you supply them with the university code 0031. - Nationals of the People’s Republic of China please note: A 'NUFFIC-certificate' must be sent to TU Delft as proof of validity of your qualifications. In order to obtain the NESO-certificate you will need to take the IELTS or TOEFL iBT test.
  • An extensive résumé (curriculum vitae) in English.
  • An essay (2,000 – 3,000 words) in English – describe your motivation, reason for choosing TU Delft, explain your scientific and technical interest in the master’s programme, describe your bachelor’s assignment and how you carried it out.    
  • A photocopy of the page (or pages) of your passport that give your name, date of birth, place of birth and the passport expiry date.
  • Two reference letters in English: one from an official of the faculty from which you obtained your degree and one from your employer or another person in authority, e.g. your Bachelor thesis supervisor.
