Harbin Engineering University (HEU) is located in Harbin, well known as the ice town in Northeast China. It has amazing winter scenery and unique ice culture.
HEU is the country's only key university in the shipping industry, focusing on engineering with science, management, and arts, as well as a main scientific research base for shipping industry, naval equipping, marine development, and nuclear application. In order to encourage and attract more excellent international students, HEU starts to offer Overseas Students Scholarships in 2000.
