Xi'an Jiaotong University was founded in Shanghai in 1896. Its main body moved to Xi'an in 1956 according to a decision issued by the State Council, and it was formally named Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 1959. Xi'an is the largest city in northwest China, which enjoys an excellent reputation at home and abroad for its long history and glorious cultral heritage, including what has been called the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Army of Terra cotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty. XJTU is one of the top nice universities in China. It has 54 bachelor's degree programs, 135 master's degree programs, 83 doctoral programs, and includes 17 schools and the School of Chinese Language Study. There are all over the world. The number of faculty totals up to 3,200 with 1,600 professors and associate professors. The areas of the campus is 181 acres. it provides the International student's education programs, and to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges more effectively.
