Reasons to Go West

Following the west-developing trend, Go West plan would enjoy many benefits. Nobody could deny the determination of central government to build a different western China and the favorable marketing conditions developed by local government who has been given greater authority to initiate the great changes. GWDS was not only designed to change the visible appearance of western China, but also to introduce people new ways of doing things, changing the way people think. This needs the strong support of education teaching and research, and therefore Science, Technology and Education become the very focus of the strategy.
