Neso China Pre-departure Seminars 2009 in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing

Neso China successfully organized three pre-departure seminars in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing at the beginning of August.
Representatives from Dutch alumni and various Dutch-related organizations, such as Neso China, Dutch embassy and consulate general in Shanghai, NBTC (Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions) and NBSO Nanjing (Netherlands Business Support Offices) shared useful information of studying and living in the Netherlands with prospect students. The seminars this year attracted more participants, compared with those of the last few years. Around 153 persons in Beijing, 116 persons in Shanghai and person in some 90 persons in Nanjing joined the events.
Through the pre-departure seminars in the three cities, prospect students were also well connected to Dutch alumni and Dutch educational organizations. The comprehensive seminars helped the students have a further understanding of the Netherlands and its higher education. In this way, the students may fully prepare for the coming life in the Netherlands, both physically and mentally.
Another bright spot of the pre-departure seminar event this year was the group discussion after the presentations. The group discussion constructed bridges between alumni, students who successfully obtained admission of Dutch university for the academic year of 2010-2011 as well as potential students who would like to know further information about studying in the Netherlands.
