Graduate VU Fellowship Scholarship

VU University Amsterdam awards its own scholarships to outstanding students joining our international Master's degree programmes. The VU Fellowship is an amount of money between 2,500 and 10,500 Euros to cover a part of the study expenses (Tuition Fee is 10,500 for all masters of the GSEB). The general criteria for selection are excellence, motivation and extracurricular activities. Students from all countries are eligible to apply.

To be able to grant the scholarship in the most effective way, we need the following documents of the prospect student:

·         a motivation letter; why he/she should be granted a Scholarship

·         a financial plan: we need a description of how the student plans to meet the financial obligations (tuition fee, accommodation, costs of living, etc). They need to show us that he/she knows how much it costs and we need to see an estimated financial gap. For help see http://www.vu.nl/en/programmes/international-masters/financial-matters/costs-of-studying-and-living/index.asp

·         an answer to the question as to whether a negative reply will determine her/his effective participation in the programme.

The application deadline for both the Master programme and the VU Fellowship is the same (March 1st prior to each Academic year). The results of the VU Fellowship will be corresponded by e-mail in the beginning of June. The VU Fellowship will be paid in instalments during the academic year.
