The International Business School (IBS) of Hanze University of Applied Sciences belongs to Quality Network of European Institutions for Higher Education

04 Feb 2010

Three years ago, IBS was the first business school of universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands that became a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Up till now only one other business school belonging to a university of applied sciences in the Netherlands has been granted membership to this network of quality institutions for higher education. Other universities belonging to this network include London Business School and Stanford University.

High Quality

The EFMD organisation is an international forum aimed at the exchange of information, research, cooperation and discussion regarding innovation in management development. In addition, it is an accreditation body for higher management study programmes. Only those institutions that meet the high requirements of this organisation may become a member after an intensive procedure.

Recognition

Next to its three MBA programmes, IBS offers the International Business and Management Studies bachelor programme that prepares its students for the global workplace. IBS strives at delivering valuable young professionals to society.

EPAS label

With this membership IBS would like to obtain the EPAS label, something it has been working on to achieve over the last few years. The EPAS label is a quality label (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) for business and management study programmes that are highly valued internationally. The Dutch accreditation system NVAO already valued the IBMS programme of the International Business School as the best IBMS programme in the Netherlands.
