PhD Positions for Chinese University Students at TU Delft

TU Delft is a renowned Dutch university conducting cutting-edge research and providing first-class education at graduate and postgraduate levels. Students have outstanding facilities and plenty of individual guidance and counseling. The Netherlands has thirteen such state universities, three of which are specialised in the engineering sciences, TU Delft is the oldest and largest of these.
PhD Programs
There are over 1,000 PhD researchers at TU Delft, almost fifty per cent of them from foreign countries. TU Delft is one of the best universities in Europe with an excellent international reputation.
Through the Co-Innovation Program TU Delft is now recruiting Chinese PhD students in Quantitive Imaging.
PhD Positions in Quantitative Imaging
Currently, six research projects are being pursued in the Quantitative Imaging Group at the Delft University of Technology. The group is interested in finding PhD students to work on these projects. The head of the group (and department) is Professor Lucas J. van Vliet.
General requirements for a PhD position in this type of research are:
- Language skills: proficient in English (TOEFL Total ≥ 90, Writing ≥ 23, Speaking ≥ 23)
- Scientific creativity
- Mathematics background: proficient in calculus, solving systems of equations,geometry, probability and statistics
- Excellent programming skills for image processing in Matlab and C or C++
- Outstanding research qualities
