Dutch Days of Education Takes off in China

Publication date: 2019-07-04 09:15

Dutch Days of Education, organized in October 2019, is an education festival to promote Dutch education institutions and to brand the Netherlands as the ideal study destination for quality education. Nuffic Neso China launched the project in 2015. It is a series of 9 events including the International Graduate Scholarship Fair, China Education Expo (CEE), Education B2B, and Alumni Reunion Events.

Program Highlights

Education B2B

Education B2B functions as a link between Chinese and overseas education institutions to establish partnerships for exchange programs and other types of collaborations.

IGSF / CSC fairs

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) organizes the International Graduate Scholarship Fair (IGSF). At this fair, scholarships are offered to talented Chinese students who are interested in pursuing a Master’s or PhD programme abroad. There will be a Holland booth at the IGSF Beijing fair and Dutch Universities/Universities of Applied Sciences are invited to join to promote their institutions.

CEE

The China Education Expo is China’s biggest education exhibition of the year. Being acclaimed as the leading event for overseas institutions to expand their presence in the world's potentially largest recruitment market, CEE harbors many national pavilions, attracts around 60,000 visitors across China, and receives massive media attention. Just as in previous years, Dutch Universities/Universities of Applied Sciences are invited to occupy their own booth in the orange Holland Pavilions in Beijing and possibly Shanghai.

One on One Interview Sessions

To focus more sharply on the quality of inbound student mobility, Nuffic Neso China will organize One on One Interview Sessions in addition to previous year's events. During this event, Universities/Universities of Applied Sciences can invite students who are interested in their institution for short interview sessions. This year’s trial version will take place at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Beijing.

NANC Alumni Reunion Events in Beijing and Shanghai

The Netherlands Alumni Network in China (NANC) and Nuffic Neso China invite Dutch Universities/Universities of Applied Sciences and their alumni to join the NANC Alumni Reunion Events in Beijing and Shanghai. Dutch Higher Education Institutions will be the host of their own alumni, but at the same time, alumni will get the chance to enjoy an entertainment program and to enlarge their networks as they will meet alumni from different institutions, as well as Embassy/Consulate staff members and Dutch company representatives.
